Black & Decker Corp. (BDK) agreed to be sold to Stanley Works (SWK) for $4.5 billion in stock.
The deal will give BDK shareholders 1.275 shares of SWK for each BDK share.
BDK November option implied volatility is at 49, and January is at 45, versus its six-week average of 45, according to Track Data.
BNI volatility flat into BRK $34 billion purchase of the company
Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA) announced the acquisition of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNI) for $100 per share in cash and stock.
BRKA is purchasing the remaining 77.4% of outstanding BNI stock its does not own.
BNI November option implied volatility is at 36, and December is at 35, near its six-month average of 37, according to Track Data.
