GG December volatility low; gold above $1,180

Goldcorp Inc. (GG), a gold producer with 100% of its production un-hedged, is recently up 59 cents to $43.99.

Gold is recently up 1.11% to $1,180.30, according to Bloomberg.

GG December option implied volatility is at 40, and January is at 43, below its six-month average of 49, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.


DTV volatility flat; shares near record high

DirecTV (DTV) is recently up 8 cents to $31.99.

DTV December option implied volatility is at 28, and December is at 31, versus its six-month average of 33, according to Track Data, suggesting non-directional price movement.
