HSY volatility flat into confirming it is reviewing potential offer for CBY

Hershey (HSY) confirmed that it is reviewing its options regarding a potential offer for Cadbury PLC (CBY).

HSY closed yesterday at $38.41.

CBY, the world's second-largest confectioner, rejected Kraft Food's (KFT) buyout bids.

December and January option implied volatility of 24 is near its six-month average of 25, according to Track Data.


DELL December volatility flat into EPS

Dell (DELL) closed yesterday at $15.95.

The company is scheduled to report Q3 EPS Nov. 19.

Dell November 16 straddle is priced at 86 cents, and the December 16 straddle is priced at $1.44.

December option implied volatility of 41 is near its six-week average of 43, according to Track Data.
