NVDA Nov volatility at 58 into EPS and chipset outlook

Nvidia (NVDA) is recently down 22 cents to $11.88.

The company is expected to report Q3 EPS Nov. 5, after the market close.

Morgan Stanley lowered its rating on NVDA to "underweight" from "equal weight."

NVDA November option implied volatility is at 58, and December is at 52, versus its six-month average of 55, according to Track Data, suggesting non-directional price movement after EPS.


HGSI volatility low at 73 after announcing positive data

Human Genome Sciences (HGSI) is recently up 60 cents to $25.90.

HGSI rallied on Nov. 2, after announcing its Benlysta met the goal of a second late-stage trial treating lupus.

ThinkEquity has a "buy" rating on HGSI.

HGSI November option implied volatility is at 73, below a level of 240 from last week, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing movement.
