11/16/09UNG volatility low; fund rallies on higher natural gas prices
The United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) is recently up 36 cents to $9.42.
The investment objective of UNG is for the changes in percentage terms of the unit's net asset value to reflect the changes in percentage terms of the price of natural gas delivered at the Henry Hub in Erath, La.
Natural gas futures are recently up 4.88% to $4.61, according to Bloomberg.
UNG November option implied volatility is at 57, and December is at 50, versus its six-month average of 58, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.
CSIQ November option prices elevated into EPS
Canadian Solar (CSIQ) is recently up $1.04 to $19.49.
The company is scheduled to report Q3 EPS Nov. 17.
Call option volume of 8,673 contracts compares to put volume of 3,339 contracts.
CSIQ November 20 straddle is priced at $2.30, and December is priced at $3.80.
December call option implied volatility is at 77, and puts are at 84; January calls are at 74, and puts are at 83; versus its 26-week average of 86, according to Track Data, suggesting less price movement after EPS.
