STEC Inc. (STEC), which manufactures storage drives called Enterprise Flash Drives (EFDs) for the enterprise solid-state drive (SSD) market, is recently down 65 cents to $17.74 in pre-market trading.
STEC February option implied volatility is at 68, and March is at 74, versus its six-month average of 73, according to Track Data, suggesting non-directional price movement.
LNY volatility low on uncertainty about Pershing Square stake
Landry's Restaurant Inc. (LNY) closed yesterday at $21.30.
In early November, Bill Ackman's Pershing Square Capital Management reported an economic exposure of 3.8 million shares of LNY, and said it opposes a $14.75 per share buyout of the company by Chairman and Chief Executive Tilman Fertitta.
LNY February put option implied volatility is at 41, and April is at 46, below its six-month average of 59, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.
