TIVO February volatility of 121 at 13-month high

TiVo (TIVO) is recently down 40 cents to $9.20.

Microsoft (MSFT) filed a suit against TIVO on Jan. 20 claiming TIVO illegally uses technology related to purchasing and delivering video.

TIVO February option implied volatility is at 121, March is at is at 118, and May is at 95, above its 26-week average of 74, according to Track Data, suggesting larger price movement.


XNPT February put volatility at 82 into FDA deadline

XenoPort (XNPT) is recently down 25 cents to $18.95.

The FDA deadline for approval of XP13512 (512) in RLS (restless leg syndrome) is expected on Feb. 9.

RBC Capital Markets has an "outperform" rating on XNPT.

XNPT February put option implied volatility is at 82, March puts are at 72, and June puts are at 62, versus its six-month average of 80, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement after the deadline.
