WFC volatility at 19-month lows into earnings and dividend outlook

Wells Fargo (WFC) is recently down 8 cents to $28.74.

The company is expected to announce Q4 EPS on Jan. 20.

WFC February call option implied volatility is at 36, and puts are at 39; April calls are at 34, and puts at 37; below its six-month average of 44, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.


VIX at 19-month low

The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) is down 1.18 to 16.95. Its 50-day moving average is 22.22.
