BRCD options active second day after buyout report

Brocade (BRCD) is recently up 4 cents to $9.12.

On Oct. 5, the Wall Street Journal reported that the data storage and networking firm put itself up for sale.

Goldman Sachs (GS) has a $10.50 price target on BRCD.

BRCD call option volume of 63,238 contracts compares to put volume of 14,896 contracts.

BRCD October option implied volatility is at 65, above a level of 55 from last week, and above its six-month average of 56, according to Track Data, suggesting larger price movement.


VIX down to 24.68

The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) is recently down 1.16 to 24.68.
