DJX November call volatility low at 12.9 as market trends higher

The CBOE Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJX) is recently up 45 cents to $100.85.

The DJX index option contract is based on 1/100 of the current value of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI).

DJX November 100 call option implied volatility is at 12.9, puts are at 18.3; December 100 calls are at 14, puts are at 20.5; according to Track Data.


MOT volatility low into EPS and handset guidance

Motorola (MOT) is recently down 12 cents to $8.20.

The company is expected to report Q3 EPS Oct. 29.

Goldman Sachs has a "neutral" rating and $7.50 price target on MOT.

MOT November option implied volatility is at 51, and January is at 49, versus its six-month average of 55, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.
