EMC volatility low; shares near 21-month high into EPS

EMC Corp. (EMC) is recently down 2 cents to $17.69.

The company is scheduled to report Q3 EPS Oct. 22.

EMC November option implied volatility is at 31, and December is at 32, below its six-month average of 39, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.


HON volatility at 29 into EPS and guidance

Honeywell (HON) is recently down 27 cents to $37.53.

The company is expected to report Q3 EPS Oct. 23 before the market open.

HON November and December option implied volatility of 29 is below its six-month average of 34, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.
