DELL August volatility low at 40; analyst meeting begins July 13

Dell Inc. (DELL) is recently up 3 cents to $13.18.

DELL is hosting an analyst meeting on July 13.

Goldman Sachs (GS) upgraded DELL to its Conviction Buy List.

DELL August option implied volatility is at 40, November is at 46; verses its six-month average of 54, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.


CVX August volatility at 34 after Q2 earnings warning; oil approaches $59

Chevron (CVX) is recently down $2.10 to $60.94.

CVX warned Q2 earnings in its downstream segment will be "significantly lower" sequentially.

Deutsche Bank has a Hold rating with a $72 price target on CVX.

CVX will report Q2 earnings on July 31.

Crude oil futures are recently down 2.10% to $59.14 according to Bloomberg.

CVX August option implied volatility is at 34, September is at 32; verses its six-month average of 37, according to Track Data, suggesting slightly decreasing price movement.
