RIGL August volatility decreases after Phase IIb results

Rigel Pharmaceuticals (RIGL) is recently down $1.47 to $9.97 after announcing Phase IIb data for R788 for rheumatoid arthritis not meeting efficacy endpoints.

Credit Suisse says, "Defending Rigel again, reaction overdone."

RIGL August option implied volatility is at 87, below a level of 121 from July 23, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.


SOHU volatility at 59 into EPS and revenue outlook

Sohu.com (SOHU), a Chinese Internet company, is recently up 51 cents to $63.31.

SOHU is scheduled to report Q2 EPS on July 27.

SOHU August option implied volatility is at 59 and September is at 56, below its six-month average of 63, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price risk.
