SEPR overall volatility low at 48 into disappointing data

Sepracor (SEPR) was recently trading at $15 in premarket trading, below its close of $17.89.

SEPR announced that SEP-225289 failed to meet its primary endpoint in a pivotal Phase II trial in patients with major depressive disorder.

SEPR also announced the FDA has put two Lunesta pediatric studies on hold due to concerns about non-clinical data that could be relevant to the use of Lunesta in children.

SEPR overall option implied volatility of 48, which is below its six-month average of 57, according to Track Data.


ILMN volatility low into pre-announced lower Q2 revenue

Illumina (ILMN) was recently trading at $31.45 in premarket trading, below its close of $38.14.

Illumina, a developer and marketer of next generation genotyping technology tools, lowered its Q2 revenue outlook.

ILMN July option implied volatility is at 37, August at 47; below its six-month average of 55, according to Track Data.
