YHOO volatility collapses as shares sell off on MSFT agreement
Yahoo (YHOO) is recently down $1.84 to $15.38.
Microsoft (MSFT) will now power Yahoo's search while Yahoo will become the exclusive worldwide relationship sales force for both companies premium search advertising.
Kaufman Bros. maintains its "hold" raring and $15 price target on YHOO.
YHOO call option volume of 197,763 contracts compares to put volume of 55,387 contracts.
YHOO August option implied volatility of 40 is below a level of 57 from July 29, and below its 26-week average of 62, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.
IP volatility low; shares trend higher into EPS and packaging demand outlook
International Paper (IP) is recently down 14 cents to $18.28.
The company is expected to report Q2 EPS on July 30.
IP August option implied volatility is at 55 and October is at 53, below its six-month average of 78, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.
