PDCO options priced for 4% on EPS

Patterson Companies (PDCO), a distributor of dental and veterinarian products, is recently up 14 cents to $25.21.

The company is scheduled to report Q1 EPS on Aug. 20.

PDCO call option volume of 2,718 contracts compares to put volume of 1,599 contracts.

PDCO August 25 straddle is priced at $1.55, and the September 25 straddle is priced at $2.20.

PDCO September option implied volatility is at 37, and December is at 38, verses its six-month average of 41, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement after EPS.


BRCD September options active into EPS and foundry guidance

Brocade Communications Systems (BRCD) is recently down 15 cents to $7.90.

The company is expected to report Q3 EPS on Aug. 20.

BMO Capital raised its price target to $9.50 from $8 based on higher estimates and multiple.

BRCD call option volume of 7,865 contracts compares to put volume of 9,847 contracts.

BRCD August 8 straddle is priced at 65 cents, and the September 8 straddle is priced at $1.05.

BRCD September option implied volatility of 59 is near its six-month average, according to Track Data.
