WAG October volatility at 36; company reports record Q4 sales of $15.7 billion

Walgreen Co. (WAG) is recently trading at $37.27 in pre-market trading, above yesterday's close of $34.19.

The company reported Q4 EPS of 47 cents versus a consensus estimate of 39 cents.

WAG October option implied volatility is at 36, and November is at 31, versus its six-month average of 30, according to Track Data, suggesting larger October price movement.


RIG volatility low as shares trend higher; oil above $66

Transocean Ltd. (RIG) closed yesterday at $84.34.

Crude oil futures are recently down .96% to $66.20, according to Bloomberg.

The company is expected to report Q4 EPS in early November.

RIG October option implied volatility is at 37, and November is at 40, below its six-month average of 44, according to Track Data, suggesting decreasing price movement.
