Options in Health Care REIT (HCN) have traded 60 times usual volume. All of the activity centers on 2,400 trades in the HCN Dec 50 Calls (HCNLJ).
In options, activity in calls can be bullish or bearish depending on what side they are trading -- buyers or sellers. It looks like the investors here were selling calls, which would be bearish.
