What retail sales? Specialty retail sales -- not including the discounters like Wal-Mart (WMT) -- dropped an amazing 18.3% in December versus the year-ago period after a 20.2% decline in November. Luxury goods sales fell whopping 27.6% and, even when you exclude jewelry, luxury goods still fell 20.5%.
